Visit from John Crowe

Yesterday the fifth of February John Crowe came to our school and showed us all of his guitars and his piano and he played a few tunes. He said that deaf people can 'hear' the guitars because they can feel the vibration and then know the notes in a tune . He also said that long string guitars have a lower pitch and guitars with shorter strings make lots of high pitched noise .
We learned lots from him about guitars we also learned lots about pianos. John gave a few of us a go on his guitars and at the end of the day we sang a song; Galway Girl' and recorded it and we made it sound like Alvin and the Chimpmunks and it was funny and everybody laughed and we all had a good time and I would like to say thanks to John Crowe! Thanks John.

John used Audacity to record the MP3 and we also use this for our podacasts. So today we made our own MP3s of the song 'as Gaeilge'.
