On 25th of December it's kids favourite time of the year; it's Christmas. We had our Christmas tests on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. They were English, Irish, Maths, Geography, History and Science. We all did really well bacause we are BRILLIANT! Christmas is not all about presents though its also a time for giving and who can forget Jesus's birthday? Our favourite parts of Christmas are presents, snow(sometimes) Santy, Christmas decorations, Christmas dinner, sweets, seeing all our family and friends, opening presents, Jesus's birthday, having fun in school instead of work, making and getting cards and wrapping presents and singing songs. Before we go all of the children in Scoil Mhuire Kilvemnon would like to thank the teachers and all of the staff and people who have helped us past the few years. Thank you and have a very Merry Christmas and we hope you have a happy new year and we hope one person in the staff named Sarah is having a child in Februrary so we wish her all the best over the Christmas holiday.

Horseriding and Dancing
I really enjoy horseriding and dancing but I prefer horseriding.I won the cups for dancing. I won the trophys for dancing but the horse one was for horseriding. The rosettes are for horseriding and the medals are for dancing. I think horseriding is easier but they are both really hard and you really need a lot of practise for them both!!

Mullinahone wins the Davins cup.
Mullinahone won the Davins cup in Carrick. It was a tournement for the under 10's.
My number on my jersey was 6. I play on the centre half back line. The first match we played we lost by 1 goal and 2 points to 2 goals and 3 points. The second match we played was against the Davins. I forget the score. Then we watched another match. Whoever won this would play against us in the final. Everyone wanted to win it. It was a very good match. Then it was our turn to play the winners, Davins again. We all really wanted to win. It was just after Halloween. We could hear some near by fire works. It was a great match and we won out in the end. Then we were presented withteh tropy and everyone got medals. Today I brought the cup into school. I showed to the Junior Room and the Senior Room. They were all impressed, especially the two boys who play for a rival team called St. Pats!!!
Everyone would really like to get a cup like that!

Visit from Mrs Jane McHugh
Today we had a visit from Mrs McHugh. She came in to talk to us and ask us questions about our plane project and Hong Kong. When she came in we greeted her in Irish and she asked us about what we did and we told her about lego, papier mache models and a lot more stuff.
We then had a showing of our Little Prince film. We hope Mrs McHugh visits us again soon.

Whole School Evaluation
From Wednesday 3rd December to Friday the 5th December, we had a Whole School Evaluation. Ms Edel Meaney, the Inspector came to inspect our school. On Wednesday she just came into the classroom to say hello to us. On Thursday she came in and stayed for some lessons. She was here for English and Maths. On Friday she was in our class for Science and Irish. She asked us lots of questions and in Science we did experiments about wind. Ms. Meaney was very impressed with those. She was very nice and we all really enjoyed her visit. We hope to see Ms Meaney in Kilvemnon again soon. Stay tuned for details of our experiments.
