We started making our Disney birthday cake last week on the 8/3/12
We had loads of great ideas from the four classes in our room third class, fourth, fifth and sixth and we tried our best to use them all. We combined nearly every single idea and came up with the “Scoil Mhuire Disney”. The Scoil Mhuire Disney is the Disney castle and our school all in one!! It is not exactly the same as the castle in Disneyland Paris because we wanted to make it our own, something different. So we have a mote going around it. It is a different colour but I don’t want to ruin the surprise!! Liz, our secretary will be in one of the towers so she has a good view. We all worked very hard on this cake.
What’s so special about the “Scoil Mhuire Disney” is that you learn almost everything you need to know in the junior room (junior. Senior, first and second class) and when you get into the senior room its all about Disney!!! Rapunzel cooks our lunch in the afternoon, she is such a good cook, we get a choice of frogs legs, spaghetti bolognaise, pizza, snails a sandwich or a roll for lunch. The most popular is pizza. The junior have a special guest read them a story everyday yesterday it was Peterpan the day before it was Buzz!!! We have quite a small school compared to others there is only 41 pupils in the whole school!!!! But I think if we did win we would only be bringing the senior room. In the senior room there is Emily, Steven ad Eoghan in third class, David Daire, Conor and Cillian in fourth class, Cathal, Hannah Jenny, Lucy and Martin in fifth class and in sixth class there is Naeema, Katie, Tara and Alice.

Lent is a time where you give up things that you like.
Lent ends when Easter starts. Lots of people give up chocolate, sweets and crisps.
Lent is a time when you give money to Trocaqire.
Lent is a good time for getting fit.
Lent is a very holy time.
We gave up chocolate and fighting with our brothers and sisters.
Lent is a nice time.

Community Games Art
The Community Games Art
We are doing clay models for the community games art competition. My model is of some goal posts I will be painting them soon. I put lollipop sticks in the upright posts or else they would fall over. The cross bar is already sagging. Some people did
really cool ones Katie did a tennis racket, David did a trophy and
Naeema did a rugby pitch. Some people are doing pictures I will
probably but I'll see what is better my clay or my picture.

Community Games Art
We are doing art for a Community Games competition. We did clay and we are going to do pictures. You can enter either one. For my clay piece I did a rugby pitch. I got a slab of clay and drew the lines of the pitch on it then I did the goal posts. I put matchsticks in the goal post to keep it up but then I wasn’t happy with it so I mashed it up and started again. Now I have a rugby pitch with goals and a little rugby ball on the pitch. I am going to paint the grass green the goal posts white and the ball white and green.

Pancake Tuesday!! :)
Pancake Tuesday
Today is Pancake Tuesday!!! We made pancakes in school. All of sixth class got to cook them. The rest of the class made the mixture. Our recipe was 300grams of milk, 100grams of plain flour and 1 egg, that makes about two full sized pancakes. We had a variety of toppings, nutella, jam, honey, sugar, lemon and maple syrup. The most popular topping by far was the nutella chocolate spread. The least popular were the jam and honey. Then when everyone got a pancake we made some for all the staff. Then the best part PANCAKE TASTING!!!. Pancake tasting is where someone has to get blindfolded and someone else puts toppings on there pancake and the blindfolded person had to guess what's on it. There was some disgusting flavours like nutella, jam and lemon on one pancake. EWWWWW!

Pancake Tuesday
Pancake Tuesday
Today in school we made Pancakes. It was very fun. All of 6th class got to make them. All the children made the mix and then put it on the pan. We made Pancakes until first break. After break we played a game where someone was on a chair and they were blindfolded and someone else had to put toppings on a pancake and the person blindfolded had to guess what was on it. We all got to put whatever we wanted on it. Some of the people didn’t really like what was on the pancakes when we played the game. We had a really good day in school.
When I went home that evening I got to make my own pancakes all by myself. I put nutella on my pancakes, it’s my favourite topping!!!
