Research on rome

The city of Rome wasn't big enough for all the Romans. All in all there were about 50 million people in the empire, which stretched from Britain in the north to Africa in the south. Everyone in the empire was protected by Rome's armies, but had to obey Rome's law.

The Romans were people who came from Rome.About 2,000 years ago they became so powerful that they began to conquer the lands around them. By 100 AD they ruled a huge empire, and were one of the mightiest people in ancient world.

Pale skin was a sure sign that a women came from a rich, noble family. Poorer women had to work outside. Their faces were burnt in the hot summer sun,and became rough and red on the cold winter winds.
