Research on Rome

The Romans came from Rome and their capital city was Rome. They were clever people with new ideas about law,art,building and technolgy.With theirmighty army and strong leaders,they invaded and conqred many countries and built a Roman empire that would last from around 146 BC to AD 476. Some peope welcomed Roman rule,but many fought against it until they were beaten by the romans in battle.

Hadrians wall in nothern England and the Raetien border in Germany are two famous frontiers and they form part of a network of forts and towns that covered the whole Roman empire. The Romans had well organized supply lines, and the people who lived under Roman rule had to provied money,food,gold,silver and slaves. Roman armies were stationed all over the frontier to make sure they did!

Romans used metal shovels,just like the ones you can find today in any hardware store.
Roman engineers also built bridges and aquaducts.

The Matterhorn(4,478) in France Mont Clevin is in the heart of the Alps on they border between Switzerland and Italy.

The Adriatic Sea forms a tongue of water between Italy and the Balkans.

About 2,000 years ago,Rome was one of the biggest cities in the world.At that time the Romans ruled all the lands around the Mediterranean sea.these lands were called the Roman Empire.

The city of Rome wasn't big enough for all the Romans. All in all there were about 50 million people in the empire,which stretched from Britain in the north to Africa in the south. Everyone in the empire was protected by Rome's armies,but had to obey Rome's law.

The Romans were people who came from Rome.About 2,000 years ago they became so powerful that they began to conquer the lands around them. By 100 AD they ruled a huge empire,and were one of the mightiest people in ancient world.

Pale skin was a sure sign that a women came from a rich, noble family. Poorer women had to work outside. Their faces were burnt in the hot summer sun,and became rough and red on the cold winter winds.

Adam's Starling: Chapter 1

First Adam went to a hospital that his granddad lived in.He was crazy,he would sometimes think he was home,though he hasn't been there for over a year he also thought he was on a trip/train but never a hospital.He loved grandad,his granddad called him son but he wasn't.Deirdre is grandads daughter she kissed him ,he thought she was a complete stranger.Adam ran fast as he could to get out of school but he forgot the big puddle outside the school.He ran straight into it.He siad "Great just great" thinking things couldn't possibly get any worse.A car swooped beside him and "splashed"the car went into a puddle and water drenched one whole side of his body.Then something hit him on the back of his head hard.It was PJ with his friend's Rory and Shane.He looked and saw a carton of sour milk had broken and hit his head Rory had two carton's of sour milk that were put there two weeks ago .Adam tried to run but he didnt run fast enough.Danny picked him up from schoolthey were walking home and Danny asked if he should go and talk to them Adam said "NO".

The Colosseum

The Colleseum was built during the reign of Emperor Vespasiana c. 72 Ad and dedicated in 80Ad by his son Titus. The popular name of Colosseum came about because the immense oval stadium was situated next to a colossal statue of Nero. The original name of this anceint Roman sports arena,the largest arena of its kind,is the Amphitheatrum. The Colosseum is over 64 metres high with eight entraces.

Roman Chariot

We are in 3rd class. This is the first model we have made,it was fun making it.
It is a Roman chariot. It took 20-30 minutes to make it. We are not finished making it,we still have to make the horse. We did it by ourselves.We had some problems making it,but we worked them out eventually.We are looking forward to making more lego in future.

Spring Spring get up and sing
Jump up and play its a wonderful day
Just a drop of golden sun makes the day a lot of fun
Holidays on the plane or maybe even on the train

I like jumping in the pool cause there is no school

Egg Hunt

I woke up Easter morn
It was to early oh darn!
On an egg hunt i'll go
I'll find an egg with the teletubby Po!!!

Mum says I'll have fun
So off I did run
Looking here looking there
I got chocolate in my hair

Lots of eggs I did find
I've to much but I don't mind
Now all my eggs are done
